Wayanad by Election result. The results of the by-election held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala will be declared today. After winning the Rae Bareli seat in the Lok Sabha elections held in April-May, Rahul Gandhi left the Wayanad seat. Due to this, a by-election was held on this vacant seat.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is the candidate of the United Democratic Front (UDF) from Wayanad seat, while she is pitted against Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Satyan Mokeri and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Navya Haridas.

Priyanka Gandhi is leading by 2 lakh 25 thousand votes in Wayanad.
Priyanka Gandhi has got 68917 votes. She is leading by 48239 votes from Satyan Mokeri of Communist Party of India.
Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi is leading by more than 3500 votes.
Amid the counting of votes, BJP candidate Navya Haridas said, “Last time Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad but he rejected this Mandal and kept the Rae Bareli seat with himself. This time the voting percentage has decreased because after the landslide incident people were not in the mood for elections. If people want development in Wayanad, then NDA should win this seat.”
