Hyderabad: On September 8 this year, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy distributed the certificates of these plots in Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad.
However, after this Supreme Court decision, a question mark has been raised over the ownership of these lands and the future of the societies.
The Supreme Court has given a major verdict for housing societies within the limits of GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation).
The apex court has cancelled the allotment of land given to housing societies. This decision was issued by a bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna.
It should be noted that the governments had allotted lands to public representatives, government officials and journalists within the limits of Greater Hyderabad.
But challenging these allotments of the government, Rao B. Chelikani had filed a petition in the Supreme Court, on which the Supreme Court has given its final decision.
It should be remembered that the members of the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society were allotted residential plots by the Congress government. On September 8 this year, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy distributed the certificates of these plots at Ravindra Bharti in Hyderabad.
However, after this decision of the Supreme Court, a question mark has been raised on the ownership of these lands and the future of the societies.
