Led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the state government has prepared a detailed action plan to hold the 72nd Miss World pageant from May 10 to 31 in Hyderabad.
The event is going to be a milestone in the history of the state and the government aims to use it as a golden opportunity to attract massive investments to Telangana.
Miss World Limited Chairperson and CEO Julia Evelyn Morley, Miss World Kerry and other delegates arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on May 2 and were given a grand welcome.
A press release said that contestants from around 120 countries will participate in the mega event and they are expected to reach Hyderabad from May 2 to 8.
Miss World 2025 Itinerary:
The contestants participating in the Miss World pageant will visit the Buddhavanam Project and Buddhist Theme Park at Nagarjuna Sagar on May 12. After the Buddhist spiritual tour, heritage walks will be organised at Charminar and Laad Bazaar.
To highlight the richness of Hyderabad’s cultural heritage, the participants will be taken on a tour of Chowmahalla Palace on May 13.
On May 14, the first group will visit historical and spiritual sites such as Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort; while the second group will visit UNESCO World Heritage Site Ramappa Temple.
On May 15, the first group will visit Yadagirigutta Temple and the second group will explore handloom weaving and demonstrations at Pochampally.
A medical tourism programme will be organised at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on May 16. Later, the contestants will visit the ancient Pillalamarri tree and Experium Eco Park in Mahbubnagar.
The finals of Miss World Sports will be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 17. After this, the participants will visit Ramoji Film City.
The participants will visit the Telangana Police Integrated Command and Control Centre on May 18 to observe government initiatives on civil security. The officials will brief them about the development story and history of Telangana.
Continental Finale Fast-track regional cluster-based selections will be held on May 20-21. The first group will attend an IPL match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and the second group will participate in an arts and crafts workshop conducted by artisans at Shilparamam.
The Miss World Talent Finale event will be held on May 22 and the Head-to-Head Challenge Finale on May 23.
The contestants will participate in the Top Model, Fashion Finale and Jewellery/Pearls Presentation on May 24.
They will present their social projects at the ‘Beauty with a Purpose Event’ on May 26 and the Grand Finale will be held on May 31.
