The Telangana government is ready to hold talks with the RTC workers after they called for a strike. In this context, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Goud said that he is ready for talks with the RTC workers. He said that the RTC is running on the basis of the protection of the organization, the welfare of the workers, and the comfort of the passengers.
He asked the RTC workers to cooperate keeping in mind the financial conditions of the government. The minister said that they will discuss the problems whenever they come on the 5th and 6th. He said that the RTC has been weak for ten years. The RTC is only now running on the path of profit. Minister Ponnam asked the RTC workers not to create embarrassing situations at such a time.
Meanwhile, it is known that the RTC workers have called for an indefinite strike across Telangana from May 7. Demanding the completion of the RTC protection and merger process, the workers announced that RTC buses will be shut from midnight of May 6.
