Hyderabad: The resumption of construction work in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, is showing enthusiasm among the farmers who have given their valuable agricultural land to the government for the construction of the capital.

The revival of development activities after a long time has given new life to the old hopes of the farmers.

Farmers say that if the construction of the capital is completed, not only the infrastructure will improve but thousands of youth will also get employment. Development in the commercial, educational and health sectors is expected to boost the local economy.

The construction of roads, offices, educational institutions and other public facilities in Amaravati will provide farmers with a permanent source of income.

Several farmers said that they are confident that the government will fulfill the promise made to them and their sacrifices will not go in vain.
