South India should not be harmed by constituency delimitation: Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while stressing the need for a change in the method of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies carried out by the Central Government, moved a resolution in the Assembly to increase the number of assembly constituencies in the state under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

He requested the Centre to increase the seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in proportion to their population. He added that the Centre should carry out the process of delimitation of constituencies in such a way that the interests of the southern states are not harmed.
