Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Monday, May 5, 2025, to seek approval for several pending infrastructure projects in the state. The meeting focused on accelerating the progress of important highway and expressway projects that will improve connectivity and foster regional development across Telangana, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The Chief Minister provided detailed updates on the construction of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) and its associated radial roads, urging Minister Gadkari to expedite both financial and Cabinet-level approval for the northern section of the RRR. Mr. Reddy emphasized that tenders for this section had already been floated, and requested that both the northern and southern parts of the RRR be completed simultaneously to ensure seamless development.
In addition, the Chief Minister made several key demands, including the sanctioning of an elevated corridor along the Mannanur to Srisailam stretch of National Highway 765, a crucial route linking Hyderabad with the pilgrimage town of Srisailam. Mr. Reddy also called for the early approval of the Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Expressway, which aims to connect Telangana’s capital with the upcoming capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister highlighted the urgent need for the development of radial roads that would link the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the proposed RRR. Specific attention was given to the Hyderabad-Dindi-Mannanur and Hyderabad-Mancherial Greenfield corridors, as well as the highway and radial road connecting ORR to Manneguda.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Telangana Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Tummala Nageswara Rao, BJP MP K. Lakshman, and MPs Mallu Ravi and Anil Kumar Yadav, along with Government Adviser Harkara Venugopal.
