Hyderabad: A heartbreaking incident took place in Jagtial district of Telangana where a husband killed his wife just because they were not blessed with children despite 20 years of marriage.
After the murder, the accused kept his wife’s body in the house for several days, due to which a stench started spreading. According to the police, Mahendra of Kodamial area was married to a woman named Mamta.
There had been a dispute in the family over property for some time. Mahendra, his parents Laxman, Vajraman, and other relatives Anil and Venkatesh, used to mentally torture Mamta because she did not have children.
As part of this conspiracy, Mahendra killed Mamta in her own house on the 26th of last month. After the murder, he left the body there, which started to fester.
He informed the police that his wife was missing. When Mamta’s parents questioned him and his family members, they acted evasively.
On suspicion, Mamta’s parents reached her house where they found Mamta’s body in the house. On the complaint of Mamta’s mother Padma, the police have registered a case and taken Mahendra into custody.
