Telangana: Youth dies due to doctors’ negligence, relatives protest

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old man died after undergoing surgery at a private hospital in Kazinagar, Telangana, yesterday, allegedly due to negligence by doctors.

A. Tirupati, who lived in Gurdupet village, complained of stomach pain yesterday after which he was shifted to a private hospital. He was operated on at 6 pm, but he did not regain consciousness until 8 pm.

When his condition deteriorated, he was being taken to a hospital in Mancherial, but died on the way.

His parents and relatives staged a sit-in in front of the hospital, keeping the body and demanding action against the doctors. They accused the doctors of negligence, which resulted in their son’s death.

The protesters were trying to enter the hospital, but the police stopped them.
