Hyderabad: A reduction in toll fees has been announced for vehicles travelling on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway, which came into effect yesterday.

There are toll plazas on the highway at Patangi, Korla Pahar and Chilakaluk in Andhra Pradesh. At Patangi toll plaza, the toll for cars, jeeps and vans has been reduced by Rs 15 for one-way journey and Rs 30 for both ways.

For light commercial vehicles, the toll has been reduced by Rs 25 for one-way journey and Rs 40 for both ways, while for buses and trucks, the toll has been reduced by Rs 50 for one-way and Rs 75 for both ways.

All vehicles making a return journey within 24 hours will be given a 25% discount in toll fees. This reduced toll fee will remain in effect till March 31, 2026.
